Windows XP DHCP Configuration

Most computers are setup to automatically pick up on DHCP, but if you are switching from another provider, or from another type of connection, here is how you go about setting up XP for DHCP connections.

Open up the control panel, and choose the category "Network and Internet Connections".

Then click on the control panel icon "Network Connections"

Double click on the Local Area Connection icon, then click on the Properties button.

Under installed components click on Internet Protocol (TPC/IP) so that it's highlighted and then click on Properities.

select tcp/ip version 4 and click on properties

Choose "Obtain an IP address automatically".  Then choose "Use the following DNS server addresses" below.  Enter the DNS servers as shown here:

168.150.253.2, 168.150.253.1

Click ok, close the networking window and you are set to go.
